Hi, I’m Susie Kim. I’m a relationship & intimacy coach for individuals and couples seeking deeper connection and a richer relationship to self, others and to life.
I work with individuals and couples who have experienced success in their career, but are less confident in the area of relationships. I love helping others understand the world of emotions & relationships so that they can create a holistic version of success that includes quality relationships.
My story of relationships starts from when I was a young child. Born in Korea, but raised in Sydney in a household where achievement was prioritised over connection, I read voraciously from a young age to try and understand how other families did relationships.
As a 10 year old, I remember showing my parents a parenting article from the Reader’s Digest magazine, pointing out how they weren’t parenting me right. My parents did their best in raising me, and I am grateful that the disconnection in my childhood sent me on a decades-long quest to understand how love & relationships worked.
Over the years, I suffered from toxic relationship patterns and made my share of dating & relationship mistakes. Relationships caused me endless cycles of despair, all while succeeding in my studies and legal career.
But I was committed to understanding and mastering love & relationships. What I know now is that relationship is a skill and anyone can learn it. Through my own lived experience of healing deep-seated patterns of insecurity and shame, as well as years of study and working with clients as a coach, I have developed the ability to guide individuals and couples from unhealthy to healthy relationships to themselves, others and the world.
My approach to coaching is guided by the principles of Mindfulness, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and a neo-tantric (love-based) approach to life.
