While it’s easy to get swept up in the excitement of a new relationship, experts say ignoring certain warning signs can be a big mistake.
Red flag 1: Talking poorly about their ex or women in general
For women navigating the dating scene, Sydney-based relationship and intimacy coach Susie Kim said the first red flag to watch for is if a potential partner makes negative comments about their ex.
“When people blame their ex without taking responsibility for their role in the relationship, or they say generalised negative things about women- like calling them ‘dramatic’ or ‘toxic’- without reflecting on their own part in the breakup, this is a major red flag,” Kim said.
